Playtime is a monthly day and night event based in the heart of bustling East London. A magical land of adventure and creative inspiration for children and an equally indulgent day and night day of food, music, art and relaxed fun for adults, parents and friends!
In a time and environment when it is more important than ever to support our local community and all the independent and artistic business’s within it, Playtime recognizes and supports the abundance of creative talent that our Borough exudes. Adding a hive of activity and social elements to you and your children’s weekend routine, Playtime aims to inspire us as parents, friends and artists to interact with one another in a safe and local space...and have a really good time doing it!
Taking Place in the beautiful Space Studios on Mare Street, Hackney – Playtime take’s over the stunning industrially charmed 400m2 Courtyard and the inside Gallery. Every event we shake up our plethora of locally sourced entertainment and arts and crafts, making it a new and exciting experience all day, every month. From coffee and tea to authentic French and Mediterranean food stalls, contemporary and vintage fashion and accessory designers, live music and entertainment, beauty and hair treatments and more...all accompanied by of course – the bar!!
And that, is just for the adults to indulge in
Move inside the Gallery for the ‘Playtime Kids Corner’ - hosting face painters, puppet shows, theatre. classic cartoons and storytelling to keep your little monkeys entertained while you relax! All proceeds from the Kids corner will go the Grasshoppers community Nursery in Hackney - a much loved staple in many of our children’s days.
Grasshoppers is run and managed by parents.
All activities will be monitored at all times by fully qualified ‘Ofsted’ supervisors for your peace of mind.
